What I'm Wearing: Busy Bee

So guys, I've totally neglected my baby. My blog should turn me in for abuse. I've just been so busy and when I'm not busy it seems I've been too lazy. Even though my pictures did not turn out good I decided to woman up and get a post together. :)

This past Saturday I had a busy day. We put on a fashion Knee Length Prom Dresses show for work to show off our fall/back-to-school collection and I was in charge of models and putting the looks together. I went into high stress (read: psycho) mode when several models I had booked flaked on me last minute. So guess who got her bootay up on the runway? You guessed it, this girl right here, and let me tell you I worked it out. My inner diva so needed that.

Anyway the outfit above is what I wore with the intention of styling models backstage. I paired black skinnies with a red cami, cheetah inset black blazer, statement necklace and Dalmation print, bow-adorned heels.view more

Pants and Blazer: Maurices, Statement Necklace: Clothes Mentor,
Handbag: Vintage from Antique Store, Heels: Style & Co (gift from mom)

Then after the fashion show/ work I had a wedding reception to run off to, so I went home and changed as quickly as possible into a dress and heels and went back out the door. The sun going down created a lot of awkward shadowing in all of these pics, so ignore that :)

Well guys, I finished my second Warrior Dash. It was an awesome time, even though I could not move the next day.  In typical Kassi fashion, I decided to stand out a bit by putting a lovely plastic tiara on my head and a sash that read 2012 Warrior Princess. This was a last minute decision that caused my brother to tell me he would be running nowhere near me. Pffft. What fun is that?

I came to run this bad boy with all guys and at 3/4 a mile in it was becoming clear that with my lack of training (Read: No running whatsoever) I was not going to be able to keep up. As I told them to go on ahead, some lovely ladies said I could run with them and I had a great time laughing and making friends along the way!

Hello, Ladies and Gents! I hope you all have an absolutely fabulous weekend! I'm heading out for a few days. Wish I could say it was going to be relaxing, but instead I will be running the Warrior Dash for the second year in a row. The difference this year? I haven't ran at all in a long time. This could get interesting. I will probably throw up or die, or throw up then die. Good times. In all seriousness though, it is a good time. I have no plan of breaking the land speed record or anything so there will be no need to look for my name in the Guiness.view more

Hello, loves! Today I may have got a little sparkle crazy with my outfit, but sometimes a girl just needs to feel like a classy disco ball. Am I right? I paired silver metallic flecked shorts with an embellished tank, a simple blazer, bow and bling adorned flats and bow earrings. So my mom bought me these shoes the other day and I think they are so amazing.  It's hard to tell all of the details (see picture below) but they are a beautiful blue sparkly material with a gorgeous embellishment. Swoon. I loved them so much I knew I needed to build an outfit around it.view more

Hello my loves! Hope you all have been enjoying your weekend. I know I have! Yesterday, I was invited out to a local (and totally charming) tea house to have lunch with my mom and two of her best friends. First of all let's just roll it out there that I am not that into tea. Never have been, but I love gourmet lunches so how could I say no? So how does one even dress for tea? I'm not gonna pretend to be all high society, when clearly I'm not, but it was totally fun putting together a tea time look.

When I think of having tea, I think of dignified ladies wearing hats and gloves. One out of two isn't bad, right? I broke out a Jason Wu for Target dress that has been hanging in my closet with the tags on it for way too long, belted it with a striped belts and finished the look with some red peep-toe pumps. I thought the overall look was tea house appropriate and the meal was absolutely delicious.view more
